If your Fertility Specialist does recommend IVF you will be reassured to know that our Full Service IVF costs are considerably less than other Full Service IVF Clinics.

What are my Fertility Treatment Options?

Fertility treatment options may include:

  • Timed Intercourse
  • Ovulation Induction
  • Advice and treatment for management of PCOS & Endometriosis
  • Artificial Insemination/ Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
  • Treatment with anonymous Donor Sperm

Our experienced Fertility Specialists have helped thousands of couples achieve their dream of having a baby, and can also provide more advanced investigative and treatment options if needed. These include:

  • Surgical investigations – including laparoscopy (if indicated)
  • IVF
  • Preimplantation Genetic Testing of embryos
  • Second Opinion – after failed IVF cycles at another clinic
  • Consultations with our Scientific Director – who is gifted at explaining (in simple terms) the science behind your treatment options

How much will my first appointment with a Fertility Specialist cost?

Your first appointment with a Fertility Specialist will cost approximately $110 – $140 after Medicare Rebates have been claimed. If you have a partner, we recommend they attend this appointment as well and they will typically be bulk billed.

If you require any follow-up appointments, they will cost approximately $50 (after Medicare Rebates).

Many factors contribute to your treatment choice – your test results, your story so far, age, values and preferences. If you are unsure of what treatment option is right for you, or are looking for a second opinion, we recommend an appointment with a Fertility Specialist.

Full Service IVF payment options

The single largest cost you have during IVF treatment is associated with the Medicare item code 13200. This section described the flexible payment options available to you with this item code.

First Cycle

The current standard fee for your first IVF cycle in a calendar year is $6849.05 (Medicare item code 13200) and the Medicare Rebate is $3029.05. If you’ve registered for the Extended Medicare Safety Net (EMSN) you will also be eligible for a refund of approximately $1,620.

You have two payment options for your cycle fee (13200*) at Life Fertility:

  1. You can pay just the difference between GAP between the standard fee and the Medicare Rebate which is $3,820, upfront. Medicare will then forward a cheque to you (made out to Life Fertility) for the Rebate of $3029.05. The cheque will arrive approximately 4-6 weeks after egg collection, and you simply forward the cheque to Life Fertility Clinic to complete your payment. You can then claim the Extended Medicare Safety Net refund which is approximately $1,620.
  2. Alternatively, you can pay the full amount upfront and Medicare will refund you the Medicare Rebate and EMSN refund directly into your bank account which usually take 2-5 business days.
